Is certification necessary for tiny homes? If not, what are the benefits of certification?

Certification may be necessary depending on the jurisdiction where you are placing your tiny home. Most people that want their tiny home certified to the RV standard do so to be able to bring the tiny house into parks that require RV certification. Having your tiny home certified may also give you better rates on insurance, or make the financing process easier. It also gives you the peace of mind that the home was built properly and the systems were tested to a known and accepted standard.
